Content Approval Guidelines and Best Practices

At PixelPointTV, we feel that stocking our platform with quality content is key to a great viewer experience. Therefore, we manually review each video that is uploaded to our platform, to ensure that it adds value to our viewers. Thus, not every video that is uploaded to our platform will be accepted. However, if you follow the guidelines listed below, you will not only have a great chance of getting your video uploads approved, but will also likely gain more video views and channel subscriptions as well! Best of all, we've broken down these guidelines into two sections, a "Do's" section and a "Don'ts" section. Simply execute as many practices listed in the "Do's" section as possible, and avoid doing anything in the "Don'ts" section, and you will thrive as a PixelPointTV creator.

Content Do's:
a.k.a. Best practices that will help your uploads get approved, help you generate more views, and make viewers want to subscribe to your PixelPointTV channel.

Keep Videos Around 2-3 Minutes in Length: We've found this to be the sweet-spot for our viewers, and will produce the most views for you too.

Add Viewer Value with Each Video: With tens of thousands of videos live on PixelPointTV, the last thing that you want is for your videos to not stand out. Therefore, we recommend that when creating videos for PixelPointTV, make sure to always ask yourself this key question, "What value is this video providing for PixelPointTV viewers?" To help get your "creative juices" flowing here are a few ways that your video can add value to PixelPointTV viewers:

• Provide a tip or hack to make life more enjoyable--such as ways to save money, or how to be more productive
• Make viewers laugh, relax, and have fun
• Provide timely and insightful information--such as reviews on movies, gadgets, or games
• Entertain viewers through music videos, illustration, cartoons or other visual arts

Those are just a few of the examples of ways that your videos can enhance the PixelPointTV viewing community. Considering ways to add more viewer value (like those provided above) each time you upload a video to PixelPointTV, will help more of your videos get approved and will lead to more views/subscriptions as well.

Make Production a Priority: PixelPointTV viewers love to be entertained. Therefore, make sure to go beyond simple screen recordings, text slides, images only, and other less-dynamic visual options when creating videos for PixelPointTV. Adding features like graphics and overlays, will help engage viewers longer, helping increase your views. Don't forget to use smooth edits, quality sound, and higher resolution as well (PixelPointTV supports video up to 1080p), to ensure an enjoyable experience for viewers.

Provide Descriptive Info: To help viewers find your videos, and get excited to watch them, make sure to always add a title, description and relevant tags when uploading your videos.

Use an Engaging Thumbnail: When uploading videos, don't forget about adding an accurate and engaging thumbnail image. For example, if you are cooking a dish, adding an image of that dish will help catch the attention of viewers.

Find Your Voice: Being a successful video creator has always come down to one key factor, authenticity. Essentially, the more you stay true to yourself, the more success you will have. Therefore, we recommend avoiding the practice of creating videos to capitalize on a popular topic, but rather to try focusing on areas that you are passionate about. By sticking to your interests, you will show more enthusiasm and knowledge, which will translate to more video views and channel subscriptions.

A Few Examples of Finding a Voice:

• If you know a lot about car maintenance, you can create videos that show viewers how they can save money by performing simple fixes on their own, like fixing a flat, or doing their own oil change.
• Perhaps you love Android phones? If so, you can create videos reviewing popular apps, or the latest phone release.
• TV fan? Review a popular new show or share your thoughts on a recent episode

Content Don'ts:
a.k.a. Practices that will get your uploads rejected, cause you to not receive many views or subscriptions, and practices that may lead to disciplinary actions on your account--yikes!

Unauthorized Use of Copyrighted Materials: We take the copyrights of artists, creators, and companies very seriously at PixelPointTV. Therefore, we will not approve any video that contains copyrighted music, images, video or other materials that have not been approved for distribution by the origin creator, artist, or company. Additionally, any creator found using another creator's videos will be permanently banned from uploading videos to PixelPointTV.

Non-Engaging Content: If a video doesn't contain content that is new, exciting, interesting, or compelling, there is a good chance our staff will not approve it. As mentioned above, all videos must provide value to PixelPointTV viewers.

Profanity: If a video upload contains foul language, we will not accept it. If you must use profanity in your video, please "bleep out" or find a way to censor the profane words.

Nudity, Pornography, Sexual Situations: If a video upload contains nudity, pornography, or sexual situations it will be not be accepted.

Hate Speech: We have a zero tolerance for any sort of hate speech at PixelPointTV.

Violence: Videos containing violence towards humans or animals will not be approved at PixelPointTV.

Illegal Activities: Videos featuring crimes or other illegal activities will not be approved.

Ads within Videos: Videos that contain any sort of advertisement within the video will not be approved.

Too Short, Too Long: As previously mentioned, the ideal video length for a great PixelPointTV viewing experience is six minutes per video. However, any videos that are under 30 seconds, or over 30 minutes will not be approved.

Poor Sound and Visual Quality: If a video contains poor sound or visual quality that will disrupt the viewers' experience, such as loud background noise, very low/high volume, or extremely dark/light video, it will not be approved.

Forgetting to Add a Description or Title: If you upload a video without a description or title, it will not be approved.
